In a full-blown healthy vending initiative that is tied to workplace wellness, it is very important to provide education and/or communication around healthful nutrition, including healthy snacking.  Otherwise, when you start to apply markups and markdowns to products in the vending machines, your employees can become very upset.  In other words, they need to understand why these changes are being made and the possible benefits to them.
